Mission:

TRY’s mission is to use a public‑health and socio‑ecological approach to address the adverse experiences and inequitable conditions that drive substance use, violence, mental‑health challenges, suicide risk, food insecurity, and chronic disease. We strengthen protective factors, build resilience, and reduce community risk through equitable engagement, advocacy, mobilization, and collective impact.

Vision: A community where every child, youth, and family can thrive because the conditions that create harm have been replaced with safety, connection, opportunity, and collective wellbeing.

Values:

1. Dignity: We honor the inherent worth of every person and create spaces where lived experience is respected, not judged.

2. Equity: We confront the structural conditions that concentrate risk in specific communities and work to ensure fair access to health, safety, and opportunity.

3. Community Power: We believe solutions are strongest when they are created, led, and sustained by the people most impacted.

4. Healing and Resilience: We strengthen protective factors, supportive relationships, and community networks that help families thrive across generations.

5. Accountability: We commit to transparent reporting, evidence‑informed practice, and continuous improvement grounded in real outcomes.

6. Collective Impact: We mobilize partners across sectors to address the social, economic, and environmental conditions that shape health.
